I love taking pictures of pets. Dogs are so much fun and so are cats, even when they are aloof. My dogs and cats serve as my daily muses, so when I get to go out and photograph somebody else’s pet, I feel so lucky. My guys are a part of my family, and Colonel Klink is a part of his. He was rescued from a home where he was being neglected and is now being giving all the love and attention he deserves.

The family kitty wanted his portrait made too. Well, not really, but he was a good sport.

Last year I donated a portrait session to the Humane Society of Charlotte’s holiday gala silent auction. Sally and her husband were so gracious to place a bid on the package for a shoot with me. It took us quite some time to finally get their session scheduled, with a wine night thrown in there somewhere, but we finally did it. I felt so good donating my services to the Humane Society and I couldn’t be happier with the wonderful family I had the opportunity to photograph. Sally is the coolest. :) Thanks Sally for your generous donation to the Humane Society!
